Poetics of Form: Poetics of Form - One
The built form can inspire us. It can cause us to pause in a moment of silent contemplation. It can hold us in awe or even repel us.
Bathed in the yellow sunlight of a warm day or the silver of a cloudy one, the built form is forever dynamic. Casting shadows upon iteself and the space that surrounds it or framing views of the horizon that lies beyond it, the built form can transform by the hour.
As each of us radiates our own special beauty, so do our buildings. From mausoleums, monuments and temples to the grain silos and barns sitting among the prarie fields, each embodies a unique space.
This series of images explores the relationship of elements within the built form. It explores the relationship of the building with its surrounding. It is an ongoing body of work that has been photographed throughout two continents, North America and Asia.
